Taking Great Care Of My Pet’s Dental Health

I am always fond of having clean and white teeth and I know for a fact that there are few people who had a lot of different dental treatments to make sure they have healthy teeth and gums. And so it seems only natural that we would turn our attention to our pet’s dental health, too. Given that the majority of pet owners like me consider them as a family member, it’s not surprising that the growth of oral health care products for pets is on the rise too. More and more of us are brushing our pets’ teeth at home in an effort to prevent dental disease and help them live healthier and longer lives.

Among the items, I bought for my, Pet is an ergonomic toothbrush and Chemical Free Pet Toothpaste that are designed to make brushing a pet’s teeth easier. And for pet lovers like me, here are some reasons why we should both be brushing our pet’s teeth.

Brushing our pet’s teeth regularly can extend his life by up to three years. According to my Vet, more than 80 develop the dental disease by the age of three. Dental disease is a serious condition that causes gingivitis, loss of teeth, and pain in the mouth and possibly even serious infections in the internal organs.

Brushing really does help eliminate “doggie breath”! Does your dog’s breath knock you over when you walk in the door? You’re not alone! Most often, bad breath is caused by dental disease, and brushing regularly can help prevent and correct this. The Chemical Free Pet Toothpaste, which my pets love makes them have good smelling breath.

Brushing at home reduces the chance our pet will have to be anesthetized to have their teeth cleaned. Not only is there a slight health risk in having my pet anesthetized for a complete cleaning by my vet, these procedures can be costly too according to them. By brushing our pet’s teeth on a daily basis, we may be able to help reduce and perhaps even eliminate the need for having our pet anesthetized by a veterinarian for a more thorough cleaning.

Brushing equals bonding. Though at first my pet may seem uncomfortable and feels awkward with brushing, we both grow to enjoy the additional time spent together. There’s nothing my pet likes more than time alone with me.

Keeping my pet’s teeth clean means matching white smiles with my pet. You know what they say about owners looking like their pets!

While to some people brushing their dog’s teeth may be a daunting task, it doesn’t really need to be. A product like Chemical Free Pet Toothpaste gives me everything I need in taking care of brushing my pet’s teeth. Just makes sure your toothbrush doesn’t get mixed up with your dog!

While brushing a pet’s teeth has some great benefits, I still make sure to check with my veterinarian before beginning any dental care regimen.  With my ergonomic toothbrush and chemical free toothpaste, my dog and I can smile confidently at anyone when we stroll along the park.
